This particular weapon had several variants, several designed for low-level delivery by very fast attack fighters. After dropping from the aircraft a small drogue parachute would deploy, slowing the weapon so that after the firing of an explosive bolt  the ballistic nose cone would come off.  When the weapon impacted a hardened structure the exposed metal spike prevented the weapon from bouncing, thus increasing the probability that its firing unit would survive impact.  One of its most interesting features was the two-part epoxy paint covering its exterior surfaces, a mixture of which after application it was extremely important the spray gun be immediately cleaned, least the paint harden and the expensive painting apparatus become a piece of useless clogged junk!
